While interning with the branding department at Munchkin I was a part of a brainstorm session to conceptualize ideas for lifestyle photography. I pitched the concept of a Latinx family making tamales together for the holidays. These are the fruits of the subsequent photo shoot. By showcasing families of different backgrounds we can help to foster an environment of inclusion and equity.

The assignment was to rebrand and repackage Crest, give the brand an edge over its competitors and to completely revolutionize the oral hygiene industry.
We don’t often think of the State Parks as the craziest place to go chill out. Yet, here in California our parks are packed with the craziest activities. From surfing, skating, biking, skiing, boarding, and even snorkeling, California has a lot going for it. With this rebrand California owns its unique vibe and becomes a lifestyle brand all its own.

The Golden Hour—The highest likelihood that treatment will prevent death if treated within an hour of injury. Working on trans-disciplinary teams we focused on streamlining the process of information transfer utilizing an augmented reality system called Vital. Vital employs flexible graphene lens glasses for medical responders to record and capture all necessary data. The medical staff in hospitals are then instantly updated on the situation as it’s happening, using augmented reality to best administer off-site aid or accelerate the treatment process once the patient arrives to the hospital. With Vital, Google can save lives.
The Art of Comforting by Val Walker is an instruction manual in the often-untaught skill of comforting people in distress. The book includes a helpful chart of replacements for common platitudes, instead using words that are far more gentle and empathetic. This enables readers to become more active listeners and facilitate healing. This layout takes the text and rests it upon a soft pink background juxtaposed against Rothko paintings to act as color therapy. While the reader learns to comfort, they too are comforted. Body copy is set in Arno Pro. Unhelpful platitudes are set in Din Pro, while titles and kinder phrases are set in Good Vibrations Pro.
How can you describe sex? Silly, funny, awkward, fun, weird. Whatever words you’re using probably doesn’t describe most packaging for sexual health products, or how we sell sexuality at all. Sex is a lot more than the sleek and formal packages most condom brands display.
